Jaimee Robinson, CMIT
Chapter President
Jaimee has been serving with CMAA AZ for over 10 years and involved in the construction industry, primarily public infrastructure, for over 20 years. She is currently a Project Manager for Construction Services at Gannett Fleming.
Willie
Paiz, CCM
Past President, CCM Director
Willie bleeds CMAA blue! He has been involved at both the National and Chapter levels for much of his career. In 2020, CMAA's Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI) awarded him the bronze Coin of Excellence. The Coins of Excellence are given to exceptional individuals who embody the highest standards of professionalism and support a culture of certification within the CM industry. Willie is currently Southwest PM/CM Infrastructure Construction Services Manager at Jacobs.
Chris
Lerma, CCM, CQM, PMP
Vice President
Chris has been a part of CMAA AZ since he and his family relocated to Arizona in 2021. His infectious energy and optimism has supported the Chapter in a number of ways ever since, including joint Jaimee in a presentation on the value of non-traditional workforce at CMAA's National Conference in 2023. Chris is a passionate and proud LGBTQ + Educator and Advocate. He is a Project Manager at Kitchell CM.
Chad

Chad has been a part of the CMAA AZ Board in various roles for nearly a decade. He is passionate about supporting young CMs and small business. He is currently the Federal-Civil Department Manager at Michael Baker International.
Karen Walker

Karen joined CMAA AZ when she and her husband relocated here from Portland, OR in 2022. She is a Senior Project Manager for Vanir CM at the Valleywise Health Project.
Kevin

Membership Director
Kevin has been fascinated by construction since he was a child. He joined CMAA AZ after he and his family relocated to Arizona from the Seattle area in 2022. He recently launched his on CM firm, Gridline Construction in May of 2023 and through word-of-mouth as a result of great client service, Gridline is growing!
Kaushik

Student Chapter Liaison/Scholarship Director
Kaushik started with CMAA AZ at the ASU Student Chapter while working on his MS in Construction Engineering in 2016-218. After graduation, he joined the CMAA AZ to continue helping the next classes of graduates from ASU. He is currently a Project Manager at Ryan Companies.
Ward Simpson, AIA

Ward was a founding member of CMAA AZ in 2007. After retiring from Rider Levett Bucknall in 2019, he started his own firm, Projects, Inc. however, he couldn't stay even partially retired for long and just recently joined Vanir Construction Management as Deputy Area Manager.
Arlen
Solochek, FAIA

After retiring as Associate Vice Chancellor for Capital Planning & Special Projects at Maricopa County Community Colleges, Arlen formed his own firm, Arlen Solochek FAIA, Consulting Architects, to stay involved in the industry. He has been involved with AIA since 1977 and provides excellent guidance to the Chapter Board.
